The lighting was this pretty pink-gray colour and I couldn't resist. The fruits of a lazy fall afternoon, with Haley Grossmith, who rocks any vintage look...

Sweet Sounds: The Duhks

Hello darlings!

Aside from our passion for vintage fashion, gems and stones - there is another love we hold very dear to us. That love is music. So on top of blogging about our fashion finds and inspiration, we will from time to time introduce you to some of our favorite artists in hopes that you will love them as much as we do!

First up, Winnipeg darlings THE DUHKS. Now this is an act that simply cannot be summed up in one genre. They are an eclectic blend of everything from bluegrass to afro-beat to folk to world music. Musicianship? Fantastic... but the voice of singer Sara Dugas is simply other-worldly. After finally seeing them live last night, Allison has come to the decision that Sara cannot actually be human.

Hello hello and welcome to Vintage Heart!

You might be wondering who we are, where we came from and why we're here...

We are two crazy gals that are in the process of building an online vintage clothing and reworked jewelry store - and we thought it would be fun to have a blog to go along with it!

For now you can follow us as we gather trinkets, make jewelry, have photo shoots and set up our store! We'll let you in on our finds, our inspiration, and our adventures!

Once the store is launched you will be able to keep tabs on us and see the latest items before they're posted to the store!

We've just moved into a beautiful penthouse apartment in the High Park area of Toronto and we are busying ourselves with turning it into a cozy, trinket-laden wonderland! We've dubbed the digs Chateau '73 and are on the hunt for decor to make the name ring true! Vintage lace, bottles, art, knick knacks - we want it all, and you get to come along for the ride!
